Food Standards Agency Scotland

Delivering a food safety message for the Food Standards Agency Scotland became a demonstration of the power of wit and wisdom for Navyblue when asked to create an exhibition stand reminding the public about safe means of food preparation as part of the Foodfest in Glasgow.

Surprise and wit were combined in a comically exaggerated interactive 3-D cartoon kitchen as a stage for delivering the food safety message. With the aim of illustrating the top ten tips for food safety and hygiene, messages were on the props - 'make sure food is fully cooked' on a huge latex pie, 'keep the coldest part of your fridge @ 0.5°C' beside a huge thermometer on the inside of a fridge which was three metres high!

Targeted at the general public, feedback reported that this was one of the busiest stands wherever it exhibited. Now over three years old, the interactive cartoon kitchen is still out there and has evolved to incorporate a fully functional demonstrating kitchen alongside it.
