Presented on Friday 16 May in Miami, it was awarded on the same evening as the Scottish Design Awards, where we won an impressive five awards! Three were for direct mail and promotional literature for the Corn Exchange Gallery, and the Royal Opera House 2005/06 Annual Review was proclaimed the winner in the Annual Report category. To top it all, we were named the Design Team of the Year!

[30:08:07] Navyblue has created a new corporate and three separate brand identities for Hungarian Radio, the state owned public service broadcaster. With a remit to represent and communicate inclusive public service content, Magyar Rádió (MR) and it's 3 stations launch on August 15th.

[28:02:07] Barr Soft Drinks 2006 has just been voted 'Annual Report of the Year' by The Drum magazine, and our 2005/6 Annual Review for Royal Opera House came third. Some of the judges’ comments are as follows:
“For me, Barr Soft Drinks stood out […] By showcasing the products alongside figures, I got a feel for the company and its staff and its attitude to its market. An iconic Scottish drink, it could have wandered down the tartan route, but instead went for a fresh, futuristic approach.”

[20:11:06] Navyblue exhibited at the 10th Soccerex convention in Dubai in November, showcasing our extensive experience in the sports sector. A highlight of the event was Geoff Nicol’s workshop on football branding, which was done in conjunction with Paul Barber, Executive Director of Tottenham Hotspur FC.

[07:10:05] Navyblue was in the spotlight this month as Geoff Nicol - Joint Managing Director - appeared as the final keynote speaker at this years IOD Design & Innovation Summit. After designing and producing the winning bid for London to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012, Navyblue was invited to illustrate the thinking and processes involved in delivering London's bid. The presentation also demonstrated how and why Navyblue won the opportunity to work on this "once in a lifetime piece of work".

[13:09:05] The new Navyblue website went live on Tuesday 13th September. The design reflects the new positioning as Navyblue Design Group and incorporates the company's new brand identity. The content of the website has also been overhauled to better reflect the breadth and depth of work that has been produced whilst working with our clients over the last 10 years.

[11:07:05] Navyblue is proud to have played a key role in bringing the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to London. Navyblue were responsible for the design of the Candidature File as well as a wealth of supporting material, including stationery, guarantee files, an IOC brochure, environmental reports, budget reports, and mailers. [06:06:05] Navyblue has moved into their new Edinburgh home, taking over the old Corn Exchange situated in the heart of Leith. The new studio was designed to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding design company whilst at the same time preserving the historical context of the original building. The new building also houses the Corn Exchange Gallery, the gallery is dedicated to all forms of contemporary art hosting a diverse programme of exhibitions throughout the year.
